Shared-problem profile
Groups that enjoy solving a shared problem and are comfortable talking through priorities together.
First-session checklist
A first game runs more smoothly when the group can see the pressure cycle before the first turn.
- Sort the disease cubes by color and place the role cards where each player can read their ability.
- Walk through one complete turn: actions, card draw and infection step.
- Explain an outbreak chain with a short example before the board becomes crowded.
- Agree that each player describes their options before the group settles on a shared plan.
Discussion balance
The rules are approachable, but the social balance matters. A confident player can offer context without deciding every turn for the rest of the table.
Pressure curve
The board creates urgency as new problems appear faster than the group can solve everything. Discussion is central.
Replay adjustments
Roles, card order and difficulty settings change the pressure pattern across sessions.
Limits to consider
One confident player can steer too much of the discussion. The table should leave room for every player to make decisions.
